Sankofa comes from the Akan people of Ghana. It is an Akan term that literally means, “to go back and get it.” One of the Adinkra symbols for Sankofa depicts a mythical bird flying forward with its head turned backward.
Your string art will come attached to a piece of wood that measures either 8" by 10". I use these board sizes interchangeably depending on your specific template. Each piece also comes equipped with a sawtooth hanger nailed to the back for easy wall hanging
