Sankofa comes from the Akan people of Ghana. It is an Akan term that literally means, “to go back and get it.” Its one of the Adinkra symbols for Sankofa depicts a mythical bird flying forward with its head turned backward.
Your string art will come attached to a piece of wood that measures either 8" by 10". I use these board sizes interchangeably depending on your specific template. Each piece also comes equipped with a saw tooth hanger nailed to the back for easy wall hanging
